My name is Kelly Grace. I first became interested in training through my family’s involvement in dog shows. At a young age I began handling a variety of breeds and showed western pleasure horses. In 2007 I attended Lake Erie College and received a four-year Bachelor’s of Science, which focused strongly on Biology, and included many courses in animal behavior and welfare. After traveling to New Zealand to study abroad and research foal development and learning, I spent several years zoo keeping at a ZAA accredited facility. I gained skills in husbandry, enrichment and training with a variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles. In 2014, I moved back to Pittsburgh, PA with my husband and accepted employment at Misty Pines Pet Company.
I bring a desire to always strive for best practices here at Misty Pines. The training industry is constantly evolving, which makes working in it so rewarding. I love finding new ways to help build stronger bonds between people and their dogs. I am blessed to be part of such a wonderful team.
