Yoga with Your Dog
In this unique class you will practice traditional poses beside your dog and for an added twist some of the poses will integrate your dog into the action. Any level of strength or flexibility is perfect for this class. Often people think they can't do yoga because they are not flexible or strong enough. However, this is simply false. One of the many benefits of yoga is that truly anyone can do it. If you can breathe you can do yoga! Try it and see!
Dogs are naturals at this practice because of a dog's inherent quality of living in the moment. Attend Yoga With Your Dog and you can work towards experiencing this healthy mindset as well as physical benefits.
- What to bring: yoga mat for human, wear comfortable clothing, small treats for your dog, towel or small mat for your dog to lay on.
- You may choose to be barefoot during the class. Yoga while wearing socks can be hard to stay in position.
- Dogs participating should be friendly with other dogs and people.
- It is expected that dogs will be excited at the beginning but will settle in as the class goes on. To help alleviate some of their excitement please arrive to class 15 minutes early. This will allow for time to let your dog settle in a bit, see the other dogs, go potty and set up your practice space. Please bring your dog on their usual training collar and leash.
Summer Session: Thursdays September 17, 24, October 1, 8 at 10:00-10:45 a.m.
$60 for all 4 classes, class pass or $25 per class.
Class is taught by Aimee Kollinger, Certified Yoga Instructor, Misty Pines Dog Trainer.
